Disruption at Pasar Senen Station Causes Several Long-Distance Trains to Be Delayed

The Jakarta-based Daerah Operasi 1 Jakarta of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) reports that several Long-Distance Passenger Trains (KAJJ) have experienced delays. The delays were caused by operational disruptions at the Pasar Senen Station precinct in Jakarta on Friday afternoon. Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, explained that the disruption originated from issues with the locomotive of the Jaka Tingkir train and the Serayu train sets. Franoto said they are accelerating remedial measures to restore operations. ‘We are continuing to speed up the normalisation of operations and to adjust operating patterns to minimise the impact on customers,’ he said. KAI Daop 1 Jakarta stresses that updates on operational developments will be communicated periodically via the company’s official channels. In apology for the inconvenience, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta extended apologies to passengers. As part of accountability, the company provides service recovery in accordance with applicable regulations. Staff are stationed at stations to provide assistance and regular travel information, including additional services for passengers experiencing delays.
