Dispute Involving Racist Remarks by Tailor in Bali Ends in Peace
A heated dispute that went viral on social media between the owner of Sintya Tailor and a customer, identified as RHW, in Badung, Bali, has ended peacefully. The two parties were brought together for mediation at the Abiansemal Police Station on Sunday afternoon (19/7). During the meeting, the owner of Sintya Tailor, Ni Made Tiadnyani, also known as Bu Sintya, and RHW explained the chronology of the incident. Both parties agreed to reconcile and forgive each other. They have made a written statement and will not pursue the matter through legal channels. Abiansemal Police Chief, Kompol I Nengah Sona, stated that the police facilitated the meeting and mediation, and both parties chose to make peace. Prior to the mediation, Tiadnyani had also apologised via her personal Facebook account. The clarification was issued after a video of her arguing with a customer and uttering insults with racial, religious, and ethnic undertones went viral on social media.
