Dispute Feature Introduced to Improve Accuracy of Social Protection Target Data
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The ‘Dispute’ feature has been introduced to increase the accuracy of target data for government social assistance programmes within the digital social protection system, known as Perlinsos Digital.
The Acting Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Farida Dewi Maharani, stated that the Dispute feature allows citizens to submit data corrections. “This is important because the public can not only view results but also have a space to submit corrections if they feel the displayed conditions are inaccurate,” she told ANTARA on Wednesday.
Since the Digital Perlinsos system was activated at trial points across 25_8 regencies/cities, approximately 600,000 citizens have independently submitted data disputes. Dewi explained that providing the Dispute feature within the digital Perlinsos system is also part of the government’s effort to ensure transparency.
Citizens can utilise the Dispute feature to request data corrections if they find discrepancies between the system’s data and the actual conditions on the ground. “The dispute process is conducted through two parts of a form, including information related to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) data as well as the Perlinsos form,” said Dewi.
“In general, the completion process can be finished within 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the completeness of the user’s data,” she added.
According to a study by the National Economic Council, the implementation of this system can slash the time from application to document determination from 75–200 days to just one minute to six hours. Furthermore, citizens will no longer have to bear costs of approximately Rp25,000 to Rp150,000 for transport and photocopying thanks to the implementation of this system.
Public enthusiasm for accessing social protection services digitally is considered high, as evidenced by the number of users exceeding five million. The government has conducted the necessary testing to ensure the digital Perlinsos system is ready for national use.
“Overall, the system is ready for use on a national scale, but the refinement process is still ongoing,” said Dewi. “Through large-scale use in several regions, we can identify which parts still need to be strengthened, whether in terms of capacity, data integration, or user experience,” she concluded.
