Dismissed Former Bima Police Chief Denies Ordering Subordinate to Solicit Money from Drug Dealer
Jakarta — Amid an ethics process that culminated in his dishonourable discharge (PTDH), former Bima City police chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro wrote a letter whilst undergoing special placement at the Provost Bureau of the National Police’s Professional and Security Division (Divpropam).
In the letter, Didik denied receiving money from a Bima City drug dealer in West Nusa Tenggara known as Ko Erwin.
The document was presented by his legal counsel following a Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) hearing at National Police Headquarters in South Jakarta. The letter, signed personally by Didik, contained several points of denial.
In one key point, Didik asserted: “I declare that I never ordered AKP Maulangi, the former head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police, to solicit money from an individual named Ko Erwin,” he was quoted as saying on Friday, 20 February 2026.
He also denied ever requesting or ordering any cooperation with any party, including Ko Erwin, in illegal narcotics activities.
“I never requested or ordered AKP Maulangi, the former head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police, to cooperate with any party, including the individual named Ko Erwin — specifically in the distribution or sale of narcotics, psychotropic substances, or any other prohibited drugs,” he said.
Furthermore, Didik claimed he did not even know the drug dealer in question.
“I have never known, never met, and never cooperated in any form with an individual named Ko Erwin,” Didik said.
However, in the same letter, Didik acknowledged that the narcotics and psychotropic substances found inside a suitcase at Dianita’s house were his personal property.
“The narcotics and psychotropic substances found inside the suitcase discovered at Dianita’s house are my personal property. They have no connection whatsoever to AKP Maulangi, also known as Pak Eki, the former head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police,” Didik said.
The fate of the former Bima City police chief had previously been reported as finally determined with his dishonourable discharge.
