Dismissed as Chairman of Jakarta DPRD, Here's Khoirudin's Fate in PKS

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Secretary-General of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), M Kholid, has spoken about Khoirudin’s fate after being removed from the position of Chairman of the Jakarta DPRD.

Kholid stated that Khoirudin now has an assignment at the PKS Central Executive Board (DPP).

“His previous mandate, Mr Khoirudin’s, was at the provincial branch, and now he has been given a task in the central leadership. Meanwhile, Mr Suhud Alynudin, as Chairman of the Jakarta Provincial Board, will continue Mr Khoirudin’s leadership duties,” Kholid told Kompas.com on Wednesday (22/4/2026).

According to Kholid, a tour of duty is a normal occurrence in the party.

“Because the position in the DPRD is an assignment given by the party to its cadres, as the faction is an auxiliary body formed based on the party’s proposal,” he added.

It is known that there has been a change in the Chairman of the Jakarta DPRD from Khoirudin to Suhud Alynudin.

The decision is contained in the latest decree (SK) from the PKS DPP, which also revokes the previous SK regarding the DPRD Jakarta leadership for the 2024–2029 period.

The Chairman of the PKS Faction in the Jakarta DPRD, M Taufik Zoelkifli, emphasised that the decision was made after careful consideration at the PKS Central Executive Board (DPP) level.

He also assured that the change was not triggered by internal conflicts within the party.

“There is no (internal conflict). This is purely for consolidation. We are updating for the good of the community as well,” he said.
