Dishub prepares traffic engineering for LRT Jakarta inauguration on Wednesday morning

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency (Dishub) has prepared situational traffic engineering to maintain smooth public mobility during the operational inauguration of the Light Rail Transit/Integrated Raya (LRT) Jakarta for the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai route on Wednesday (26/8).

“Traffic engineering will be implemented situationally around the Manggarai LRT Jakarta Station area during the inauguration activity,” said Head of DKI Jakarta Dishub Budi Awaluddin in Jakarta on Tuesday.

According to Budi, the traffic engineering is being carried out to maintain security and smooth public mobility around the activity location.

He added that access for residents and office activities in the area will remain passable and continue by adjusting to traffic conditions and directions from officers on the ground.

Based on information from DKI Jakarta Dishub, the inauguration is scheduled to take place from 09.00 WIB to 11.00 WIB. Meanwhile, situational traffic management on Jalan Minangkabau Timur will be applied from 07.00 to 11.00 WIB.

Traffic from the south of the Tebet area heading east or towards the Proklamasi area, which originally passed through Jalan Minangkabau Timur, will be diverted via Jalan Minangkabau Barat-Jalan Sultan Agung south side. Vehicles will then be directed to make a U-turn at the Pasar Rumput U-Turn, heading to Jalan Sultan Agung north side, Jalan Tambak, and so on.

In addition, vehicles from the west, namely Dukuh Atas, heading south to the Tebet area or east to the Proklamasi area will be directed via Jalan Galunggung-Jalan Sultan Agung-Jalan Tambak. Vehicles can then continue straight towards Proklamasi or make a U-turn in front of RSIA Tambak to head to Tebet.

Furthermore, vehicles from the east of the Proklamasi area heading west to the Dukuh Atas area will be diverted via Jalan Tambak-Jalan Dr. Sahardjo. Vehicles will then be directed to make a U-turn in front of Toba Tabo, Jalan Sahardjo-Jalan Minangkabau Barat-Jalan Sultan Agung, and so on.

Budi said DKI Jakarta Dishub has also prepared a parking area for invited guests behind Pasaraya Manggarai.

Meanwhile, members of the public passing around the activity location are advised to adjust their travel routes and take into account travel time during the implementation of the traffic engineering.

“We hope motorists and the public pay attention to signs and follow directions from officers on the ground,” he stressed.
