Cirebon - The Cirebon City Transportation Agency (Dishub) in West Java recorded 220,747 vehicles passing through towards Jakarta on the North Coast Route (Pantura) in the Cirebon City area up to Wednesday (25/3) at 4:30 PM WIB. The Head of Traffic Division at Dishub Cirebon, Indra Setiaman, in Cirebon on Wednesday, stated that this figure is the accumulation of vehicles monitored during the Eid al-Fitr return flow on that route. He mentioned that up to the afternoon of that day, the number of vehicles recorded moving towards Jakarta reached around 63,996 units. “For monitoring vehicles heading to Jakarta, around 63,996 units up to 4:30 PM WIB,” said Indra. He conveyed that two-wheeled vehicles remain the type dominating the traffic flow on that route. Dishub recorded the number of motorcycles passing towards Jakarta on Wednesday at around 55,440 units. Besides motorcycles, he said, private four-wheeled vehicles, buses, and goods transport were also monitored passing through the route during the Eid al-Fitr return period. On that day, they recorded 93,727 vehicles passing through the Pantura Route in Cirebon City, with an average of around 3,905 vehicles per hour. “The number of motorcycles recorded passing towards Jakarta on Tuesday reached around 81,632 units,” he said. Dishub Cirebon continues to monitor traffic flow on the Pantura Route to ensure the smoothness of the Eid al-Fitr return and anticipate potential vehicle density in the area.
