Tangerang (ANTARA) - The Tangerang City Education Office in Banten has assured that digital learning in schools does not contradict the implementation of PP Tunas, as the material delivered has undergone verification by educators, ensuring that the content received by students is educational, directed, and supportive of character formation.

“PP Tunas does not contradict digital learning. In fact, this regulation serves as a filter to ensure children access content suitable for their age and educational needs,” said the Head of the Tangerang City Education Office, Wahyudi Iskandar, in Tangerang on Thursday.

Furthermore, Wahyudi stated that the Education Office encourages the use of technology in learning, one of which is through the provision of interactive digital rooms in schools.

“This facility is expected to improve the quality of learning while requiring teachers to continuously innovate in presenting engaging and easy-to-understand material,” he said.

“Schools have provided special storage areas to ensure that learning focus remains maintained,” he emphasised.

Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin stated that the presence of PP Tunas is to protect children from negative content on social media.

“We welcome it well, because PP Tunas provides protection, and this must be discussed together to limit children from being influenced by inappropriate content,” he said.

He explained that the future of children needs to be protected from the negative impacts of digital developments. Moreover, many children are already dependent on gadgets and find it difficult to interact socially.

Therefore, following the issuance of PP Tunas, the Tangerang City Government will conduct discussions to create policies or regulations at the local level regarding its implementation.

“We will soon discuss it together with relevant agencies so that it can be implemented to provide protection for the future generation,” he said.
