Discussion on nationhood

JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Transmigration Siswono Yudohusodo is
scheduled to give the keynote speech at an open discussion under
the theme of "Nationhood Perspective on Ongoing Development" held
by Bina Swadaya Foundation on Tuesday.

The theme was chosen under the consideration that national
development should not only be improved but also continued, DE.
Susapto, an executive of the foundation, said yesterday.

"The nationhood perspective should bear the notion that the
young generation, as heirs of the old generation, should include
problems to be encountered by the next generation on their
current agenda," he said.

Other speakers at the discussion, which will be held at the
foundation's training course campus in Cimanggis, Bogor, will be
Christianto Wibisono of the Indonesian Business Data Center and
Kartono Muhammad, the former chairman of Indonesian Medical
Association.

Susapto said that the discussion is part of various
activities, ranging from visiting the heroes cemetery to donating
blood, held by the foundation in conjunction with the
commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Indonesia's
