Discovery of 100 Fictitious SPPG Sites in Cilacap, DPR Says MBG Corruption Suspects Will Increase

Deputy Chairman of House Commission IX, Charles Honoris, has responded to the finding of 100 fictitious Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG), or kitchens for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, in Cilacap. Charles stated that Commission IX had previously received a report from the former leadership of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) regarding the existence of fictitious SPPGs. “We have received a report from the BGN leadership that under the previous leadership there were indeed several, I do not yet know the exact number, but if indeed there are 100 in Cilacap,” Charles said at the DPR Building in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, 24 June 2026. According to him, the existence of SPPGs that are only recorded administratively without any physical buildings constitutes a legal violation and must be dealt with firmly. “This must be investigated and law enforcement carried out against the perpetrators,” Charles said. He believes the corruption case at BGN will not only ensnare three suspects. He suspects there are other parties involved in the corruption. “It means these virtual accounts were paid Rp6 million every day, but there was no kitchen, no SPPG. It is impossible that only three BGN leaders orchestrated and ran this; it must involve many other employees,” he stated. Charles hopes law enforcement officials will also examine other parties who may be involved. “So if asked whether it is possible to drag in other people, new names, I am quite confident it will drag in new names,” he concluded.
