Discover two quirky local fashion brands at brightspotCITY
Expressing oneself through eccentric and colourful fashion is increasingly popular among young people. To meet this enthusiasm, several local brands are competing to present unusual clothing collections that break daily fashion norms, such as Bertjorak and Oh.Irv. These unique garments can be found at the brightspotCITY exhibition, located at Agora Mall, Thamrin Nine Complex, Central Jakarta, from 27-31 May and 4-7 June 2026.
Bertjorak captivates with bold colour-blocking designs. Founded by Jeannerie Jesica Putong during the 2020 pandemic, the brand initially focused on cotton shirts featuring contrasting colour-blocking techniques. Its cheerful visual identity celebrates self-expression and wearer confidence.
In 2022, the brand expanded into quirky knitwear, which has since become a hit with buyers, including international customers bracing for winter. At brightspotCITY, they are showcasing their Astro Allure campaign line. Alongside warm knitwear, they are displaying a flannel shirt collection developed in exclusive collaboration with EB Batik, a legendary artisanal textile and hand-written batik producer from Cirebon. One flannel piece features a special horse motif launched to celebrate Chinese New Year. The cat motifs were organically inspired by the designer’s pets.
