Discounted Train Tickets for 2026 Lebaran Homecoming Still Available — Check the Terms
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is still offering transport discounts for the 2026 Lebaran homecoming travel period. The promotional fare, amounting to a 30 per cent reduction, applies to commercial economy class train tickets on selected departure dates.
In a published announcement, KAI stated that the transport discount forms part of a government programme designed to support public mobility during the homecoming season. The programme enables travellers to undertake their homecoming journeys earlier.
Terms and Conditions
The following requirements and conditions apply:
- Discounted fares may be purchased through all ticket sales channels from 10 February to 29 March 2026.
- The discounted fares apply to departures between 14 and 29 March 2026.
- The discount is valid only for commercial economy class.
- The discount does not apply to special fares and cannot be combined with other reductions or discounts.
- Tickets purchased at the discounted fare may be cancelled or rescheduled in accordance with prevailing regulations.
- Schedules and train listings can be viewed through the Access by KAI application.
- The offer is available whilst ticket allocations and discounted fares remain in stock.
Discounted train tickets may be booked through KAI’s official channels, namely the Access by KAI application, the booking.kai.id website, or other authorised sales partners.
How to Book Train Tickets
To book via the application:
- Download and open the Access by KAI app
- Select the “Inter-City” train menu
- Choose the departure and destination stations
- Select the travel date (return trips available)
- A list of available trains will be displayed
- Select a train according to the preferred schedule and time
- Complete the process through to payment
- Once payment is successful, the ticket will appear in the “My Tickets” menu
To book via the website:
- Visit the KAI website at https://booking.kai.id/
- Select the origin and destination stations
- Select the travel date (return trips available)
- A list of available trains will be displayed
- Select a train according to the preferred schedule and time
- Complete the process through to payment
- Once payment is successful, the ticket will be sent to the registered email address
