Disaster Response: Dompet Dhuafa Donors Distribute Various Humanitarian Programmes
As of 10 September 2026, Dompet Dhuafa continues to roll out aid funded by donors for earthquake survivors in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), focusing on educational services and Psychological First Aid (PFA). Currently, these services have reached 2,121 beneficiaries, while healthcare services have reached 3,330 individuals. Additionally, clean water initiatives have reached over 455 beneficiaries, and non-food logistics have supported 1,121 people.
In terms of daily nutrition for survivors, 6,962 beneficiaries have been reached, with food logistics reaching 5,105 people. Meanwhile, Search and Rescue (SAR), evacuation, and assessment efforts have assisted 229 beneficiaries, and internet service centres have reached 339 individuals.
“Alhamdulillah, until now, Dompet Dhuafa continues to drive the recovery of the NTT community following the earthquake. To date, we have reached a total of 22,142 individuals whom we have assisted or served. This is certainly due to the generosity of all our donors,” said Ahmad Juwende, Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation.
Ahmad Juwaini further stated, “Our activities in NTT will continue, so we are still inviting the public and all donors to get involved. For our upcoming programmes, we are targeting the construction of 100 ‘rumtara’ houses as well as the reconstruction of the Ronting Mosque. We are also focusing on repairing schools to support educational services in the affected areas, including plans to repair several earthquake-affected places of worship.”
In a different location, Dompet Dhuafa is involved in managing forest and land fires (Karhutla) by collaborating with volunteers, Basarnas, and the BNPD in efforts to extinguish hotspots. To date, Dompet Dhuafa’s efforts have distributed 621,000 litres of clean water, 1,000 masks, deployed teams to assist in firefighting, and provided logistical support. As a follow-up service, Dompet Dhuafa also provides mobile medical posts to facilitate rapid and accurate healthcare for survivors. These services span 7 provinces and 16 regencies/cities.
“In our efforts to handle forest fires, in addition to the ongoing operations, we will operate 100 water tankers to supply water for extinguishing fires at various points,” added Ahmad Juwaini.
Regarding the impact of volcanic ash from Mount Krakatoa, which has caused thick ash deposits in several areas, Dompet Dhuafa Lampung has distributed 450 masks to road users around Tugu Adipura, Bandar Lampung City. Furthermore, the team there is assisting residents in cleaning ash layers from residential buildings.
Meanwhile, in Banten, Dompet Dhuafa Banten distributed masks to street vendors and residents in the Cinangka and Anyer districts of Serang Regency, Banten. Similar mask distribution actions were carried out by Dompet Dhuafa Volunteers (DDV) Banten in the Pasar Lama area of Serang City, where 600 masks were received by local residents.
