Disaster Control Centre records 3,554 people still displaced by disasters in North Sumatra
Medan — The North Sumatra Provincial Disaster Operations Control Centre (Pusdalops PB) has recorded 3,554 people still displaced due to hydrometeorological disasters that occurred on 27 November 2025 in the province.
According to reports received on Sunday, 3,554 individuals from 921 households remain displaced, scattered across two of 20 affected districts and cities.
Pusdalops Sumut recorded the displaced persons distributed across Central Regency with 2,564 people and South Tapanuli Regency with 990 people.
Sri Wahyuni Pancasilawati, Head of Emergency Response, Equipment and Logistics at the North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), stated that the report represents preliminary data received by Pusdalops PB Sumut.
She said that various disaster response measures have been undertaken by each regional area and relevant stakeholders.
“Updates on the disaster situation will continue to be communicated, including the latest data,” said Sri Wahyuni Pancasilawati.
According to Pusdalops Sumut data, the 20 affected districts and cities include Medan City, Tebing Tinggi City, Binjai City, Padang Sidimpuan City, and Sibolga City, as well as Deli Serdang Regency, Serdang Bedagai Regency, Langkat Regency, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, and Pakpak Bharat Regency.
