Disappointed by postal service
My family in Jakarta sent us (in Ujungpandang) three packages
from three different local post offices. All packages arrived in
Ujungpandang about a week to four weeks later than the normal
time as promised/predicted by the post office employees.
The second package had a hole in it that was obviously made by
a rat, and the stuff inside had been bitten. The contents of the
third package was also badly damaged, most probably resulting
from heavy pressure.
I sent a letter to PT Pos Indonesia complaining about the
condition of my packages. But the answer I got from the post
office mentioned only the late arrival of the packages for which
the company apologized, and completely ignored my complain about
the damages. I am very concerned about the unprofessional service
of the post office. It is a blatant abuse of customers' rights.
