Disabled Woman in South Jakarta Raped and Impregnated, Police Hunt Perpetrator

A woman with disabilities, identified by the initials DH (25), in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, became a victim of rape and subsequently fell pregnant. Police are currently pursuing the perpetrator.

“We are searching for the perpetrator. The one wearing a cap, we are looking for him,” said Jagakarsa Police Chief Kompol Nurma Dewi on Monday (13/7/2026).

Nurma stated that her team has reviewed CCTV footage from the location. Several witnesses have also been questioned to help identify the perpetrator.

According to Nurma, police have also examined the victim. However, the victim, who is speech-impaired, has limitations in describing the perpetrator’s characteristics.

In June 2026, the victim was known to have given birth to a baby. Unable to care for the infant, the victim’s father, who works as an online motorcycle taxi driver, subsequently handed the child over to the Social Services Agency.

“I received information directly from the victim’s father that the baby had been placed with or handed over to the Social Services Agency. Yes, after she gave birth,” Nurma said.

The case has also gone viral on social media. The victim filed a report in April 2026. On 2 June 2026, she gave birth to a baby boy at Aulia Jagakarsa Hospital.
