According to a statement from the West Jakarta Satpol PP on their Instagram account, the non-verbal child was found by officers from the Satpol PP and the Social Services. Video footage shows the boy’s aunt walking quickly to the spot where the child was located. He was found fast asleep inside a dog kennel. An officer carried the boy, who was wearing a black and yellow shirt, and handed him directly to his aunt. The family expressed their gratitude for the child’s safe return. The child’s parents and older sister were also present at the scene to collect him. The Satpol PP stated that thanks to the alertness of officers and public concern, the search was successful and the child was safely evacuated for further care and protection. The identity of the child was not disclosed for privacy reasons.
