A great number the Rp 100 banknotes in circulation are dirty
and disheveled. For a form of legal tender the condition of the
banknotes is very poor.

It is also possible that the dirty banknotes are so filthy
that they contain harmful bacteria. If that is the case, disease
will spread easily from one person to another. A banknote must be
intact and its denomination should be clear.

It should be noted that foreigners will also come in contact
with the unclean and rumpled banknotes. They may get the
impression that we are not paying enough attention to
cleanliness.

Therefore, I would like to suggest to the government and the
Central Bank that they do something about it.
