Dirgakkum Korlantas Officially Changes Hands, Humane Law Enforcement and ETLE Optimisation Become Priorities

The position of Director of Law Enforcement (Dirgakkum) of the National Police’s Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) has been officially handed over from Brigadier General Faizal to Senior Commissioner Dr. I Made Agus Prasatya. The handover ceremony was led directly by the Head of the Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, at the Madelu Hall of Korlantas Polri on Thursday (11/6/2026). In his address, the Head of Korlantas Polri stressed that the Directorate of Law Enforcement plays a strategic role in ensuring traffic security, safety, order, and smooth flow. Therefore, all law enforcement ranks are expected to continuously promote a humane, professional, and transparent approach in every aspect of duty execution. Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho also emphasised the importance of utilising technology through the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) system as the primary instrument for modern, accountable, and fair traffic law enforcement. According to him, ETLE optimisation must continue to be carried out to improve public compliance while strengthening public trust in the National Police. ‘Traffic law enforcement must be implemented humanely, transparently, and professionally. Optimising ETLE is an important step towards achieving objective law enforcement, reducing the potential for procedural violations, and providing legal certainty to the public,’ he asserted. On the same occasion, the new Dirgakkum, Senior Commissioner Dr. I Made Agus Prasatya, stated his commitment to continuing and improving the various traffic law enforcement programmes already in place. He affirmed that law enforcement services will continue to be directed towards humane, fair, and public service-oriented principles. One of his main priorities will be maximising the implementation of ETLE across Indonesia to make law enforcement more effective, transparent, and integrated. ‘We are committed to improving humane and fair law enforcement services. Optimising ETLE throughout Indonesia will be a priority, not only to improve traffic compliance and safety but also as part of the effort to support an accountable and transparent increase in Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP),’ said Senior Commissioner Dr. I Made Agus Prasatya. With this leadership change, Korlantas Polri hopes the Directorate of Law Enforcement will be increasingly capable of addressing traffic law enforcement challenges in the digital era and providing professional, modern, and trustworthy services to the public.
