Directory of Type A and Type B Bus Terminals in Greater Jakarta

Jakarta — Bus terminals function as facilities for the lawful boarding and alighting of bus passengers. In accordance with the Ministry of Transport Regulation No. PM 79 of 2018, three classifications of bus terminals have been established: Type A, Type B, and Type C.

According to Law No. 23 of 2014 on Regional Government, management responsibilities are divided as follows: Type A terminals are managed directly by the central government, Type B terminals are managed by provincial-level regional governments, and Type C terminals are managed by district/city-level regional governments.

Type A terminals are authorised to serve inter-state and inter-provincial cross-city transport vehicles (AKAP), combined with intra-provincial cross-city transport services (AKDP) and/or rural transport services. Type B terminals serve intra-provincial cross-city transport vehicles (AKDP) combined with intra-city transport and/or rural transport services. Type C terminals have the most limited authority, serving only urban and/or rural transport vehicles.

The Type A terminals in Greater Jakarta are: Terminal Pulo Gebang, Terminal Kampung Rambutan, Terminal Kalideres, and Terminal Tanjung Priok. The Type B terminals are located in: Bekasi (Terminal Bekasi, Jl. Ir. H. Juanda), Bogor (Terminal Baranangsiang), Depok (Terminal Jatijajar), and Tangerang (Terminal Poris Plawad).
