The Directorate General of Legal Administrative Affairs (Ditjen AHU) of the Ministry of Law is encouraging the public and business actors to ensure that documents and requirements are complete before submitting applications for legal administrative services.

“Every application must meet the applicable legal requirements and provisions before services can be issued or provided,” stated the Director General of Legal Administrative Affairs, Widodo, in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

Data from Ditjen AHU up to 20 September 2026 shows that 11,190,922 legal administrative service applications have been submitted throughout 2026. Of that number, 11,073,631 applications have been completed, achieving a resolution rate of 98.95 per cent.

Ditjen AHU noted that rejections are part of the verification process to ensure that services are provided to applicants who meet the legal requirements and provisions.

Widodo stated that verification is necessary so that legal administrative services are not only fast but also compliant with statutory regulations. This process, he added, is part of the effort to maintain service quality while providing legal certainty for the public.

“Not all applications are automatically accepted. There is a verification process to ensure that every service is provided in accordance with the requirements and provisions of the laws and regulations,” he said.

Legal administrative services provided by Ditjen AHU include the establishment, amendment, and dissolution of business entities, registration of beneficial owners, fiduciary guarantees, notary services, citizenship and naturalisation, as well as Apostille legalisation.

The high volume of applications has prompted Ditjen AHU to continue developing digital-based service systems to facilitate public access and increase the efficiency of administrative processes.

Widodo stated that evaluations of the services are ongoing, including addressing various obstacles found during the application and verification processes.

“We do not only look at success rates, but we also use every obstacle and deficiency as material for evaluation to implement improvements. The principle is that public services must continue to evolve to meet the needs of the community,” he said.
