The Directorate General of General Legal Administration (Ditjen AHU) at the Ministry of Law is committed to bringing legal administration services closer to the public. This commitment is being realised through the Impactful AHU Service Festival, which will take place in Bandung, West Java, on 29–31 August 2026.

Over three days, the public will be able to access various legal information and consultations without having to move between counters. The event will be centred at two strategic locations: Trans Hotel Bandung and the Atrium of Trans Mall Bandung. Visitors will not only be treated to an exhibition, but will also be able to take part in coaching clinics, digital service simulations, and receive on-the-spot services for applications that meet the requirements.

Director General of General Legal Administration Widodo stressed that the festival is designed as a solution space for members of the public facing legal administration obstacles.

“Do not come just to look at the booths. If there is an unclear legal administration issue, come and consult. We have prepared a space to help the public understand their needs and, as long as it is within our authority and the requirements are met, resolve it on the spot,” Widodo said in a statement on Monday (24/8/2026).

On that occasion, five directorates within Ditjen AHU will open services, including registration of individual limited liability companies, fiduciary services and notarial affairs, citizenship, apostille, and Civil Servant Investigator (PPNS) services. Each directorate has also prepared a flagship service as a hero service.

For business actors and MSMEs, for example, there will be an individual limited liability company registration service as well as education on beneficial ownership. Members of the public who need services related to documents for cross-border purposes can consult about apostille. Meanwhile, citizenship, fiduciary, notarial, PPNS, and will registration services can also be part of the consultation and education agenda.

The festival will also feature a “There Is Always a Solution” Special Edition programme. This programme is specifically designed to handle current public issues by involving relevant units or officials. As a result, the public will not only receive general explanations, but will also have the opportunity to obtain assistance for the issues they face.

According to Widodo, this kind of service model is important for changing the way the public interacts with the bureaucracy. Technology, he said, should not make services feel more distant, but should instead make it easier for the public to obtain certainty.

“The transformation of AHU services must be felt in the public’s experience. The measure is not simply how many applications or digital systems we have built, but whether the public has become more informed, finds it easier to access services, and obtains certainty over their affairs,” he said.

In addition to public services, the festival will serve as a space for policy discussion. Four draft laws will be examined in parallel: the Business Entity Bill, the Movable Property Security Bill, the Private International Law Bill, and the Citizenship Bill. The forum will involve experts, academics, practitioners, and relevant stakeholders.

Carrying the theme “Impactful AHU Service Transformation” and the tagline “Providing Legal Certainty to the Public”, the festival, which is planned to be attended by Indonesian Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas, targets the general public, business actors and MSMEs, legal professionals, Indonesian and foreign citizens in need of citizenship and cross-border legal services, as well as the academic community.

“With a format that combines education, consultation, direct services and public interaction, Ditjen AHU hopes the festival will become a real experience of change towards legal administration services that are more modern, responsive, and close to the needs of the public,” Widodo said.
