Director of LKBN ANTARA Appreciates Ramadhan Short-Term Islamic School in Bogor
Young people need to continue equipping themselves with knowledge and positive values in order to meet future challenges.
Bandung (ANTARA) – The Director of LKBN ANTARA, Benny Siga Butarbutar, has praised the Ramadhan Short-Term Islamic School 1447 Hijriah initiative launched by the Jabodetabek Journalists Community together with several partner organisations at the Bogor City DPRD Building, West Java, on Wednesday.
Benny, represented by Hermanus Prihatna as Ramadhan Sanlat advisor, stated that the organisation appreciates the activity because through the short-term Islamic school, young people are expected to become pillars of national revival amid various major changes, including in Indonesia’s historical journey.
Meanwhile, Bogor City DPRD Chairman Adityawarman Adil said the Ramadhan short-term Islamic school activity is an important and strategic initiative to broaden young people’s understanding of the nation’s future.
“Indeed, it is no mistake that today we are pleased to hold an event that is truly remarkable and hopefully today’s youth will realise that the nation’s future rests in their own hands,” said Adityawarman.
“Because of this, they must equip themselves with much knowledge and study extensively. Not only studying secular knowledge, but also reading the Qur’an as a guide to life,” he said.
The Ramadhan Sanlat 1447 Hijriah/2026 activity carries the theme “Welcoming Indonesian Youth 2045: Intelligent, Virtuous, and Quranic-Spirited”.
The event is being organised by the Jabodetabek Journalists Community in cooperation with Ar-Ruhama Islamic Boarding School and several media partners.
Furthermore, the activity is also supported by various institutions and companies, including Taman Safari Indonesia, Indocement, Alfamart, AQUA, and several other institutions.
The activity also featured several speakers, including LKBN ANTARA Corporate Secretary Bayu Prasetyo and Chairman of the Al Bahjah Bogor Foundation Kukuh Galih Waskita.
Additionally, an academic from the National Institute of Science and Technology Muhammad Firmandana discussed artificial intelligence, whilst Aviary Park Indonesia Marketing Communication Manager Fajar Muharam presented material on wildlife conservation and national tourism destinations.
