The Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Ditjen Dukcapil) at the Ministry of Home Affairs received an audience from the Head of the Banyumas Regency Dukcapil Office, Agus Sriyono, together with the Secretary of the Banyumas Dukcapil Office, Tulus Widodo, as well as the Head of the Depok City Dukcapil Office.

Director General of Population and Civil Registration Teguh Setyabudi encouraged Banyumas Regency and Depok City to become new pilot regions for the government’s priority programme in the field of social protection digitalisation.

Both regions are expected to become exemplary areas that successfully integrate digital population services with various sectors, ranging from social assistance and healthcare to banking.

Through the Digital Population Identity (IKD) programme, population data integration will be strengthened so that the distribution of social assistance can be more targeted, transparent and accountable.

As a follow-up measure, the Directorate General of Dukcapil will strengthen coordination and provide assistance in accelerating IKD activation in Banyumas and Depok. Both regions are expected to serve as role models for other areas across the country.

The initiative reflects Indonesia’s broader effort to digitalise population administration services and improve the efficiency and targeting of social protection programmes nationwide.
