The world of Indonesian equestrian sports has achieved a significant milestone as Nusrtdinov Zayan Fatih has qualified for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Dakar, Senegal.

The young athlete from DNV Equestrian, affectionately known as Dinov, will be the official representative of Indonesia in the equestrian sport of show jumping at the youth world sports event.

The confirmation of his ticket to Dakar came through an official announcement from PP Pordasi. The event, scheduled to take place from October 31st to November 13th, 2026, will feature 35 sports with the participation of athletes from 23 countries around the world.

“I am very grateful to be able to represent Indonesia at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar. Thank you to PP Pordasi and Mr. Aryo Djojohadikusumo, as well as all parties who have supported and helped me all this time,” said Dinov in a statement.

Dinov’s success in qualifying is the result of his brilliant performance at the FEI Jumping World Challenge Competition 3, held at Equinara Horse Sports Jakarta in November 2025. The data from that competition was then compared with the results of selections from various countries in the Asian Zone.

Dinov successfully secured a position in the top four in Asia, thus earning one of the four quotas available for the Asian Zone. He will compete with three other athletes, namely Ruirui Sun (China), Neil Kendall (India), and Alya Adnan Awadh Almheiri (UAE).

The Daily Chairman of PP Pordasi, H. Eddy Saddak, stated that this achievement is a new record for the history of national junior equestrian sports.

“Congratulations and best of luck to Dinov. We also thank him because thanks to Dinov’s achievements in the Jumping World Challenge, Indonesia received a quota to participate in the YOG,” said Eddy.

To face the tough competition at the world level, Eddy advised Dinov to immediately undergo intensive training, including conducting trial matches in Europe to hone his technical skills and mental strength.

This achievement further complements Dinov’s phenomenal record, as he recently won the CSI 1* 130-140 cm class at the Arthayasa Open Equestrian Championship on May 9-10, 2026. By competing in Dakar, he will officially become the first Indonesian junior equestrian athlete to qualify for the youth Olympic event.

“Please pray and support from all Indonesian people so that I can give my best for the nation and the country,” Dinov concluded.
