Dili gets new police, military chiefs

DILI, East Timor: East Timor Police chief Col. Atok Rismanto
installed Lt. Col. Setyanto as Dili precinct chief Saturday,
replacing Lt. Anton Bachrul Alam.

Alam is being posted to Sukabumi, while Setyanto's former post
as chief of Baucau Police precinct will come under the command of
Lt. Col. Hari Prasetya.

In his speech, Atok reminded police officers that Dili and
East Timor experience security and order disturbances which are
different from those in other regions.

Police and military authorities need to deal with disturbances
effectively and professionally, while ensuring that human rights
are upheld, Atok said.

On Thursday, East Timor Military Commander Col. Salamat
Sidabutar installed Lt. Col. Endar Priyanto as the new military
district commander of Dili, succeeding Lt. Col. Sunarko, Antara
