Digitalisation Driven to Strengthen Economic and Investment Ecosystem
Jakarta: Digitalisation continues to evolve as a key component in the effort to strengthen Indonesia’s economic and investment ecosystem. The development of digital financial services is also aimed at expanding public access while supporting economic activities at both national and regional levels.
One of the companies developing these services is GoPay. In 2026, the company received recognition through the IN-Apps Digital Awards 2026 and the Jakarta Investment Award 2026 for its contributions to the development of the digital and investment ecosystems.
The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency presented the IN-Apps Digital Awards 2026 to GoPay in the Digital Wallet (E-Wallet)/Non-Banking Application category. The award was granted for its contribution to providing digital payment services and supporting financial inclusion and the growth of the digital economy.
GoPay’s Consumer Business Director, Kelvin Timotius, stated that the development of digital financial services is part of the company’s efforts to support digital economic growth.
“GoPay is committed to supporting and contributing to the growth of the digital economy in Indonesia through easy-to-use financial service innovations that address the ever-evolving needs of the community,” Kelvin said in a written statement on Tuesday, 6 October 2026.
“In line with this, GoPay also strives to remain a strategic partner to the government in implementing digital economic development policies that bring benefits to all levels of society,” he explained.
In addition to awards in digital services, GoPay received the Jakarta Investment Award 2026 from the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta in the Domestic Investment (PMDN) category. This award was presented for the company’s contribution to supporting economic development and the investment ecosystem in Jakarta.
The development of the digital ecosystem is carried out through collaboration at both national and regional levels. At the national level, several initiatives include the utilisation of QRIS, financial education, and financial literacy campaigns.
At the regional level, collaborations are conducted with governments and local communities to support the digitalisation of public services as well as the empowerment of the community and business actors.
Since its launch in 2023, these digital services have continued to evolve into a platform offering various financial services. One of the developments implemented is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance services and security.
The transformation of these digital services is part of the development of the digital economic ecosystem, involving the public, business actors, the government, and financial service providers.
Moving forward, the development of digital services is directed towards providing financial solutions that meet the needs of the community and expanding collaborations to support inclusive digital economic growth.
