Digital Transformation at TASPEN: SIMGAJI Simplifies Salary Management for National ASN and Non-ASN
PT TASPEN (Persero) is demonstrating progressive steps in the digital transformation of public services by introducing the Salary Management Information System (SIMGAJI). This system serves as an integrated solution for managing salaries of Civil Servants (ASN) and non-ASN across all levels of government, from provinces to regencies and cities.
Through SIMGAJI, which has been launched since 2012, the payroll process has shifted to a fully integrated digital system, covering employee data management, automatic salary calculations, and real-time report presentation.
This innovation not only improves data accuracy but also accelerates administrative processes while reducing the potential for errors in salary calculations. As a result, salary management standards become more uniform and reliable throughout Indonesia.
Corporate Secretary of PT TASPEN (Persero), Henra, stated that the launch of SIMGAJI is part of the company’s commitment to delivering adaptive and integrated digital services. The system is designed to meet the needs of local governments while providing certainty and convenience for participants.
“Through SIMGAJI, we hope to promote transparency and efficiency in managing ASN payroll data in Indonesia,” said Henra.
By March 2026, SIMGAJI’s implementation has reached 527 out of 546 local governments in Indonesia, or about 96.52%. This integration covers data for 3,876,463 ASN and state officials, reflecting significant adoption in a relatively short time.
SIMGAJI Features
SIMGAJI offers various standout features, from employee data and salary component management, automatic calculations, payroll report preparation, to real-time data monitoring. The system is also integrated with various platforms from ministries and agencies, such as the Treasury Billing System of the Ministry of Finance and the Regional Development Information System (SIPD) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, as well as connected to banking systems to ensure timely and accurate salary disbursements.
The benefits of SIMGAJI are directly felt by local governments and ASN. For local governments, the system simplifies reporting processes, claims submissions (both claims and non-claims), and more efficient and accurate employee expenditure management.
Meanwhile, for ASN, SIMGAJI provides guarantees of transparency and accuracy in the monthly salary data received. In terms of security, SIMGAJI prioritises data protection through a layered system with a centralised private cloud-based database. This approach includes security at the device, application, and database levels, ensuring payroll data remains optimally protected.
Looking ahead, TASPEN targets SIMGAJI to become the national standard platform for ASN salary management across Indonesia. This effort will be supported by strengthening system integration, implementing paperless services, and ongoing development to enhance service quality and user satisfaction.
For TASPEN, utilising SIMGAJI also adds value by obtaining more accurate and standardised ASN payroll data, facilitating integration with internal systems, and supporting faster, more precise, and efficient service improvements for participants.
Through innovations like SIMGAJI, TASPEN not only delivers efficiency but also strengthens transparency and service access for ASN throughout Indonesia, while affirming its role as a professional, trusted, and sustainable state-owned social insurance company in supporting public welfare.
