The digital transformation in the maritime sector increasingly requires support from fast, secure, and integrated payment systems. As the use of digital-based public services grows, ease of transaction has become a key factor in improving service quality for the public and business operators. This commitment is demonstrated through a collaboration between PT Finnet Indonesia and the Directorate General of Sea Transportation at the Ministry of Transportation to provide the Finpay Payment Gateway service for the MaritimHub platform. Through this integration, the public and maritime business operators can make electronic payments for various services via multiple available methods and channels.

PT Finnet Indonesia President Director Rakhmad Tunggal Afifuddin stated that technological developments have shifted public expectations towards public services that prioritise convenience, speed, and comfort. “Therefore, public service providers must be able to adapt and deliver services that are relevant to the needs of the community,” he said on Thursday (11/6).

PT Finnet Indonesia Director of Business & Marketing Aziz Sidqi explained that the collaboration is part of an effort to strengthen the national digital payment ecosystem, particularly in the transportation and public service sectors. He noted that an integrated payment system not only facilitates transactions but also supports operational efficiency and transparency. “Through this collaboration with the Directorate General of Sea Transportation, we hope the implementation of the digital payment system on MaritimHub can enhance operational efficiency, strengthen transaction transparency, and provide a better service experience for all maritime service users,” he said.

Meanwhile, Director General of Sea Transportation Muhammad Masyhud assessed that digital transformation in the maritime sector must be supported by a reliable payment system so that service quality for users can continue to improve. He stated that synergy between the government and industry players is a crucial factor in accelerating public service innovation in the digital era. “This cooperation with PT Finnet Indonesia holds strategic significance in supporting the delivery of increasingly modern and user-oriented digital services,” he remarked.

MaritimHub is a digital platform developed by the Directorate General of Sea Transportation to integrate various maritime services and data into a single unified system. With the support of the payment gateway service, the payment process for various services within the platform is expected to become easier, faster, more transparent, and accountable. This collaboration also reflects the growing role of digital payment technology in supporting the modernisation of public services. Beyond accelerating transaction processes, payment digitalisation is considered capable of improving governance efficiency while delivering a better service experience for the public and business operators. Looking ahead, the integration of digital services and payment systems is expected to become a vital component in developing a more modern, efficient, and user-oriented maritime industry.
