Digital Minister Invites All Elements to Collaborate in Overseeing Indonesia's Connectivity
Indonesia’s Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, has invited all elements of society to continue strengthening collaboration in overseeing digital connectivity in Indonesia. According to her, efforts to provide equitable digital access cannot be undertaken by the government alone but require support from various parties.
This invitation was delivered by Meutya at the Digital Connectivity Appreciation 2026 event, an initiative of BAKTI Komdigi and detikcom.
“This (Digital Connectivity Appreciation 2026) shows that the government cannot operate alone; we need collaboration with many parties,” said Meutya.
“I am moved; earlier, there were so many people from various elements, whether from schools, community health centres, then friends from the TNI, and of course the extraordinary industry, with their excellent cooperation with the government. This facilitates the government’s steps to ensure that this connectivity runs well throughout the regions,” she continued.
Meutya hopes that the synergy between the government, industry, and society can be continuously maintained so that the quality of national digital connectivity improves further.
With strong collaboration, equitable digital access is expected to drive growth and open more opportunities for communities in various regions of Indonesia. Through this cross-sectoral collaboration, the government is optimistic that strengthening digital connectivity in Indonesia can proceed more equitably and sustainably.
“Our commitment is clear: Indonesia is increasingly connected, the ecosystem continues to grow, and the digital space remains secure and inclusive for all. This commitment is reflected in the real roles of all of you in continuously driving digital connectivity progress in various regions of Indonesia,” she asserted.
She hopes that the contributions provided will continue to produce joint steps and believes that from connectivity, opportunities are born. These opportunities grow for progress until we keep Indonesia safe in the digital space.
“Once again, thank you, ladies and gentlemen. May the collaboration between the government, industry, and society continue to run in overseeing so that our connectivity becomes even better,” she concluded.
