Digital Forensics Expert Rismon Sianipar Visits Metro Police Headquarters to Enquire About Restorative Justice Request in Jokowi Diploma Case
Jakarta — Digital forensics expert Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar submitted a restorative justice request concerning allegations of forged diplomas involving Indonesia’s seventh president, Joko Widodo.
The Director of General Criminal Investigation at Metro Jaya Police, Senior Police Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, confirmed the submission. He stated that the restorative justice request was filed last week. “Last week, a restorative justice request was submitted,” Imanuddin said on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.
Imanuddin added that Sianipar, accompanied by his legal counsel, visited Metro Jaya Police headquarters today to enquire about the status of his restorative justice submission. Similar steps have previously been taken by two other suspects in the case: Eggi Sudjana and Damai Hari Lubis.
“Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar and his legal counsel today enquired about the previously submitted letter,” Imanuddin said.
In this case, Metro Jaya Police has divided the investigation into two clusters. The first cluster comprises five suspects: Eggi Sudjana, Kurnia Tri Rohyani, Damai Hari Lubis, Rustam Effendi, and Muhammad Rizal Fadillah. The second cluster includes Roy Suryo, Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, and Tifauziah Tyassuma, also known as Dr Tifa.
Metro Jaya Police has also issued travel bans preventing Roy Suryo and the other suspects from leaving the country. Additionally, they are required to report weekly every Thursday. Investigators have conducted a special case hearing at the request of Roy Suryo and his associates, but the suspects’ legal status remains unchanged.
Most recently, police withdrew suspect status against Eggi Sudjana and Damai Hari Lubis after both reached peaceful settlements with the complainant. These agreements resulted in the issuance of investigation closure orders.
