Jakarta — The Digital Day 2026 event, organised by The Iconomics, received positive responses from technology and digital industry players through a business forum and awards ceremony for corporations and technology leaders across sectors in Jakarta on Thursday, 26 February.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Iconomics Bram S. Putro stated that the event, themed “Digital Sovereignty: Leaders Must Act Now to Secure the Future,” serves as a platform bringing together company leaders whilst recognising individuals and institutions that play a role in developing digital technology.

According to him, in an era when data has become a primary commodity and digital infrastructure forms the backbone of public services and business, leadership must be firm and measured so that digitalisation can become a catalyst for sustainable corporate growth.

The event featured several speakers from government and industry circles, including the Director-General of the Digital Ecosystem at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, Special Staff to the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology for Digital Transformation and AI Muhammad Muchlas Rowi, Director of IT and Digital at PT Pegadaian Yos Iman Jaya Dappu, and President Director of ITSEC Asia Patrick Rudolf Dannacher.

The Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer awards were given to more than 30 technology leaders from various industries based on a survey of nearly 10,000 respondents using indicators of popularity, competence, crisis leadership, and personality.

Meanwhile, digital financial brands awards were given based on indicators of awareness, image, and engagement, whilst digital innovation awards assessed company innovation through aspects of configuration, products, and customer experience.

The Indonesia Popular Digital Products Awards were determined through focus group discussions and surveys of more than 10,000 respondents across 10 major cities to measure public awareness and appreciation of digital products and services.
