Digiland Run Event to Take Place This Sunday: Note the Parking Locations
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing several parking areas in the Gelora Bung Karno area during the Telkomsel Digiland Run 2026 event on Sunday, 17 May 2026.
This step is taken to support the smooth mobility of half marathon participants and the public who are active around the event location.
The Acting Head of the Jakarta Transportation Department, Ujang Hermawan, said that the available parking capacity reaches 1,957 Standard Parking Units (SRP) for four-wheeled vehicles and 8,229 SRP for two-wheeled vehicles.
In this case, the Jakarta Transportation Department is preparing a total of 10 parking locations in the GBK area and its surroundings during the event.
“We urge the public and event participants to use the parking locations that have been provided and follow the directions of officers on the field,” said Ujang, in a written statement (14/5/2026).
According to Ujang, the provision of parking areas is part of an effort to maintain traffic order during the running event.
He added that the parking arrangement is also expected to reduce the potential for vehicle congestion around the GBK area and the race route.
“We also encourage the public to prioritize the use of public transportation to the event location so that mobility remains smooth and other public activities are not disrupted,” said Ujang.
