Digdaya Survey Finds Majority of Public Supports Prabowo-Gibran Government Programmes

The latest national survey released by Digdaya Polling & Strategy shows high public acceptance of a number of national priority programmes. The Free Health Check (CKG) programme received the highest approval rating at 89.7 percent, followed by Sekolah Rakyat (80.6 percent), Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) (63.5 percent), and the Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDMP) (53.2 percent).

Digdaya Polling & Strategy researcher Fadhil Abdurrahim explained that the high approval rating for CKG indicates a shift in public mindset from curative services towards preventive measures. “The 89.7 percent support for the Free Health Check shows that access to free health examinations has become a fundamental need of the public. The public sees the preventive approach through early detection as a concrete form of state presence,” Fadhil said in an official statement on Friday (28/8/2026).

Based on the survey findings, the following is the map of public support along with the realisation of the government’s priority programmes:

Free Health Check (89.7%): The most widely accepted programme among the public. The programme has reached 82 million participants as of 20 August 2026, out of a target of 130.8 million people throughout 2026.

Sekolah Rakyat (80.6%): Has gained very strong social legitimacy to break the intergenerational chain of poverty. As of early 2026, 166 boarding-style Sekolah Rakyat have been operating in 34 provinces and accommodate 15,954 students from underprivileged families.

Free Nutritious Meals (63.5%): Still supported by the majority of the public as an investment in human resource nutrition. The programme, which has reached around 60 million beneficiaries, is targeted to expand to 82.9 million people.

Red and White Cooperatives (53.2%): Achieved majority approval as initial capital for the establishment of 80,000 village cooperative units. The government projects that around 30,000 to 35,000 units will be ready to operate by August 2026.

The Digdaya Polling & Strategy survey was conducted on 22–31 July 2026 with 1,200 respondents across Indonesia. Sampling was carried out using a multistage random sampling method with a margin of error of 2.83% at a 95% confidence level. The research aimed to capture public perceptions of policies, socio-political conditions, and the implementation of the government’s priority programmes.

One of the main findings shows that 88% of respondents stated that management views change management as important or very important.
