Difficulty Finding Workers Leads Dago Dairy to Close Business
A video circulating on social media features the owners of the Dago Dairy cattle farm in Mekarwangi Village, Lembang District, West Bandung Regency, announcing their plan to close their dairy farming business.
In the post, the owners of Dago Dairy, Mark and his wife, Yanti, explained that the reason for closing the farm is due to experiencing a labour shortage for almost two years. This situation has been exacerbated by the minimal interest among young people in working in the livestock sector, particularly in dairy farming.
Due to the limited workforce, one employee even had to work two shifts. This condition made Mark admit he struggled to find time to properly care for the cows or maintain the barns.
