Diesel Fuel Prices Rise in May 2026, Check the Full List
JAKARTA – The significant rise in diesel fuel prices in May 2026 is directly impacting the operational costs of diesel-powered vehicles. Nearly all fuel stations across Indonesia have adjusted to the new prices, from Pertamina and BP to Vivo. Meanwhile, Shell stations remain the only network not yet operational as of early May, so no price updates are available from that brand. At Pertamina stations, Dexlite is now priced at Rp 23,600 per litre, a drastic increase from Rp 14,200 per litre in April 2026. Pertamina Dex has also risen from Rp 14,500 per litre to Rp 23,900 per litre, meaning each product has increased by around Rp 9,400 to Rp 9,700 per litre in less than a month. Even higher increases are seen at private stations. BP Ultimate Diesel, previously sold at Rp 14,620 per litre, has jumped to Rp 30,890 per litre, a surge of more than Rp 16,000 per litre. Amid this spike, the only diesel fuel not experiencing a price change is Biosolar, the subsidised variant, which remains at Rp 6,800 per litre. However, its use is not unrestricted. Filling Biosolar is now limited to vehicles that are registered and have a special barcode at Pertamina stations, so not all diesel vehicle owners can access this price. On the other hand, users of non-subsidised fuel must face a quite drastic cost increase in a short time. This situation requires diesel vehicle owners, particularly in personal and commercial segments, to recalculate their daily operational costs. - Biosolar: Rp 6,800 per litre - Dexlite: Rp 23,600 per litre, previously Rp 14,200 per litre - Pertamina Dex: Rp 23,900 per litre, previously Rp 14,500 per litre BP Stations - BP Ultimate Diesel: Rp 30,890 per litre, previously Rp 14,620 per litre Vivo Stations - Diesel Primus: Rp 30,890 per litre, previously Rp 14,610 per litre Prices may change at any time Prices in the DKI Jakarta area and surroundings
