Didit Prabowo's Eid Safari: From SBY and Anies to Megawati

Didit Prabowo, the only son of President Prabowo Subianto, known as Didit Hediprasetyo, undertook a series of visits to prominent political figures during the Eid al-Fitr halal bihalal gatherings in 1447 Hijriah. He shared these moments on his personal Instagram account. On Saturday (21/3), coinciding with Eid, Didit visited the residence of Indonesia’s sixth president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), at Puri Cikeas in Bogor, West Java. During the visit, as reported by detikcom, Didit took selfies not only with SBY but also with SBY’s eldest son and Democratic Party Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and his wife Annisa Pohan. Additionally, Deputy Speaker of the MPR Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono, or Ibas, and his wife Siti Ruby Aliya Rajasa were present. The day after, Didit visited the home of Indonesia’s fifth president and PDI-P Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri in Menteng, Central Jakarta. Accompanied by her daughter Puan Maharani and granddaughter Pinka Hapsari, Megawati gave Didit a cake as he celebrated his 42nd birthday. Didit also took a selfie with the hostess and posted it on his personal Instagram. On the same day, Didit visited the residence of the wife of Indonesia’s fourth president, Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur, in Ciganjur, South Jakarta. Yenny Wahid, daughter of Gus Dur, shared the meeting on her Instagram. “Thank you, my brother Mas Didit Prabowo, for taking the time to stop by Ciganjur for Eid greetings with our family, even though today is your birthday,” Yenny wrote. Yenny noted that Didit brought a book on Soto Nusantara in three languages and a collection of Javanese philosophy books gathered by Indonesia’s second president, Soeharto. “Thanks for all the exciting stories today. May Mas Didit have a long life, good health, and always be happy and increasingly successful in creating works for the nation and country. Remain a humble, patient, and always friendly person,” she added. In addition to these visits to former presidents’ residences, Didit accompanied his father in receiving visits from several former presidents at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Saturday (21/3). Attending were Indonesia’s seventh president, Joko Widodo, accompanied by his wife Iriana Jokowi and eldest son Kaesang Pangarep. Didit’s Eid safari was also evident alongside various national figures during Eid al-Fitr prayers at the field of the Grand Mosque Al-Azhar in Jakarta. Some of those present included the 10th Vice President Jusuf Kalla; former Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan; and former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD. Didit even posed for a photo with Anies and was seen chatting with Anies, JK, and Mahfud.
