Special Staff of the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, Didi Apriadi, praised President Prabowo Subianto’s speech on the 2027 national economic policy direction delivered at the DPR RI Plenary Session on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.

According to Didi, the President’s speech, which emphasised the 2027 Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Essentials (KEM-PPKF), marks a crucial milestone in implementing Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution to maximise public prosperity.

“Listening to President Prabowo’s speech has sparked new optimism for the nation. The government will take strategic steps to strengthen export oversight and optimise state revenue through a different approach,” Didi told the editorial team on Friday, 21 May 2026.

Didi explained that the policy aligns with the expectations of Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani to curb various irregularities in export trade that have been detrimental to the nation.

He added that managing the natural resource export ecosystem through a single channel via PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI) could be a strategic solution to strengthen national export oversight.

“The policy’s objective aligns with Minister Rosan Roeslani’s statement as CEO of Danantara, which is to prevent under-invoicing and transfer pricing practices that have harmed state finances,” he said.

Didi also urged all national elements to oversee the policy to ensure it meets the government’s intended objectives.

As chairman of the Mosque Love Society, he noted that the core of President Prabowo’s speech represents the enforcement of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, which states that Indonesia’s land, water, and natural resources must be used for the greatest prosperity of the people.

Didi highlighted the importance of halting the export pattern of strategic commodities such as coal, nickel, and palm oil, which have been causing leaks amounting to $150 billion annually.

He stated that these leaks have only benefited a few large entrepreneurs and harmed state finances.

“The government’s seriousness in establishing a state-owned enterprise-level body to manage Indonesia’s natural resource and mining exports is a strategic moment worthy of appreciation,” he added.

He added that although the initial phase covers coal, palm oil, and nickel, the policy could be expanded to other strategic commodities such as gold, copper, tin, and other exports in the future.

Didi believes this government move is a significant breakthrough for a fairer and more prosperous national economic future.

“Indonesia possesses vast natural resources. In the future, these assets should form the foundation of public welfare if managed correctly and free from leaks,” he concluded.
