Dibyo Widodo's mother dies

JAKARTA (JP): The mother of National Police Chief Gen. Dibyo Widodo died of heart problems yesterday morning. She was 73.

Toerniati Soekardi was sent to Bhakti Yudha hospital, Depok, West Java, where she died on Sunday evening.

She is survived by six children and 13 grandchildren. Dibyo is the eldest child.

President Soeharto, Vice President Try Soetrisno and his wife Tuty, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Hartono, and City Police chief Maj. Gen. Hamami Nata were among those who expressed their condolences at Dibyo's residence on Jl. Pattimura, South Jakarta. (04)
