Diaspora in Korea Enthusiastically Welcome Prabowo, Willing to Wait from Morning to Meet Him in Person
The arrival of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, in South Korea was welcomed by a number of diaspora members who have long resided in the Land of the Morning Calm.
Rima, one of the diaspora who has lived in South Korea for 24 years, admitted to being very enthusiastic and willing to wait for Prabowo’s arrival from the morning at the place where Prabowo is staying during his time in Seoul.
The Indonesian citizen from Blitar, East Java, also felt very proud to meet the Head of State directly.
“With his arrival, I am extremely enthusiastic. From the morning, even though there were schedule changes, I kept waiting. Coincidentally, for the past nine years, I have been part of Mr Prabowo’s success team in South Korea,” said Rima in her statement, quoted from the broadcast of the Indonesian Communication Agency (Bakom) RI, Wednesday (1/4/2026).
According to her, Prabowo is a figure of great authority and very attentive to Indonesian society, including the diaspora abroad.
“His authority is extraordinary. I always support Mr to continue being RI 1. He also protects the diaspora, which is what I admire most. Mr’s current programmes are also extraordinary. Even though I live in Korea, I always monitor the developments of his programmes in Indonesia,” she explained.
Therefore, Rima admitted to being very happy for the opportunity to interact directly with Prabowo.
“I got to interact and shake hands with Mr, and express my thanks for his support. This is a great pride for me, because if I were in Indonesia, I might not have the chance to meet Mr directly,” she revealed with a beaming smile.
She also hopes that Indonesia’s future will advance further under Prabowo’s leadership.
“I pray that Mr remains healthy, continues to uphold the spirit of brotherhood, and lives long. Mr’s struggle is extraordinary. May Indonesia advance further under Mr’s leadership. Stay healthy always, Mr!” she hoped.
It is known that Prabowo departed for a working visit to Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday (31/3/2026), after his visit to Japan.
Prabowo arrived in Seoul around 7:15 p.m. local time.
Prabowo’s arrival at the hotel where he is staying during his time in Seoul received an extraordinary welcome from the diaspora in South Korea.
During his time in Seoul, Prabowo will meet with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung at the Blue House on Thursday.
