Diarrhea claims four lives
SURABAYA: Four people have died and more than 100 others have been hospitalized as a result of an outbreak of diarrhea in three villages in the Lumajang regency, East Java.
Regency spokesman Soedjadi told Antara the three villages affected were Ranuyoso, Klakah and Senduro.
The authorities have sent a team to the villages to investigate the cause of the diarrhea outbreak, Soedjadi said, adding that changing weather conditions usually played a part.
He said the three villages were all in arid areas. (emb)
