DI to resume production

BANDUNG, West Java: State-own aircraft company PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI) has received three certificates from the Directorate General of Air Transportation, allowing the factory to resume its aircraft production, an official said on Friday.

"It means that our government supports PT Dirgantara to keep producing aircraft," DI chief director Jusman SD said here after receiving the certificates from Director General of Air Transportation Sunaryo.

The certificates were given for the production of, among others, CN-235, NBO-105 helicopter, Nbell-412 aircraft and Super Puma NAS-332 helicopter.

The cash-strapped company suspended production in mid-1997 at the beginning of the economic crisis. (25)
