DHL to build $3m warehouse

JAKARTA: Courier company DHL Danzas Air & Ocean will build a
6,000-square-meter warehouse at the Soewarna Business Park,
adjacent to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, in Cengkareng.

"We have a positive outlook on Indonesia's economy this year,
next year and the years after. We believe the country's economy
will grow and we will take the advantage," DHL Danzas Air and
Ocean Indonesia Technical Advisor Christoph Remund said on
Tuesday.

The US$3 million facility, to be operational by June 2006,
will become the firm's biggest complex in Indonesia and will
offer one-stop shopping.

"Warehouse, distribution and supply have grown significantly
in the transportation and logistics sector in Indonesia and in
the Asia Pacific region," Remund said.

DHL Danzas Air & Ocean has seven office/warehouses in Jakarta,
Surabaya, Balikpapan (East Kalimantan) and Semarang and more than
2,000 customers across the country. -- Antara
