DHL opens operation center

JAKARTA (JP): PT Birotika Semesta/DHL Worldwide Express
announced on Tuesday the opening of a new US$1.5 million airport
operation center at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

The air express delivery company said the new operation center
was the latest addition to DHL's Indonesian infrastructure, which
includes 63 branch offices and service centers throughout the
country.

The 1,500-square-meter operation center, with on-site X-ray
machines for both incoming and outgoing shipments, is expected to
improve the speed and efficiency of DHL's inbound and outbound
