DHL Express has opened a new service point in the Fatmawati area of South Jakarta as a strategic step to expand customer access to international and domestic shipping services. The presence of this facility is expected to bring DHL Express services closer to the public, business actors, and corporate customers in the region. “Many of our customers currently send shipments to various destinations, exporting samples and finished goods to overseas clients, importing high-value items or materials, and dispatching domestic packages to major cities in Indonesia,” said Ahmad Mohamad, Senior Technical Advisor for DHL Express Indonesia, in a written statement on Tuesday (31/3/2026). “The Fatmawati service point was built to further strengthen our customer service network and provide greater convenience for customers in that area,” he added. In line with the growth of cross-border e-commerce activities, Indonesia has recorded significant acceleration with a market value reaching $120 billion. This trend is driven by increasing digital adoption and high demand for imported and exported products to global markets. Major cities like Jakarta remain the primary centres of growth due to high connectivity and commercial density. On the other hand, international shipping is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.99% throughout the 2026–2031 period. This indicates the growing reliance of business actors on international express services that prioritise speed and reliability. Geographically, the location of this service point is in a strategic area close to Pondok Indah, Cipete, TB Simatupang, and Cilandak—regions known as hubs for business growth, retail, as well as expatriate communities and digital-based companies in South Jakarta. The opening of the Fatmawati service point on Monday (30/3/2026) simultaneously strengthens DHL Express Indonesia’s national footprint, affirming the company’s commitment to being present in key locations to support the evolving shipping needs of customers.
