Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perumda Dharma Jaya targets organising bazaars at 1,416 locations throughout 2026 as an effort to expand public access to animal protein. “We are targeting at least the equivalent, or even exceeding, the achievement of 1,200 points from the previous year. By March 2026, we have already reached 480 points,” said Dharma Jaya’s President Director, Raditya Endra, in Jakarta on Tuesday. To support distribution, Dharma Jaya has added to its fleet, bringing it to four refrigerated meat distribution vehicles, up from two previously. Thus, with an average implementation of six points per day, the company is optimistic that the target can be surpassed. “The addition of vehicles will expand the service reach. With increased capacity, the potential realisation this year will be greater,” said Raditya. He assured that the price of meat sold remains below market prices to help maintain price stability and suppress regional inflation. Meanwhile, the Assistant for Economy and Finance of the Jakarta Provincial Secretary, Suharini Eliawati, stated that the expansion of bazaar points is concrete evidence of the government’s presence in ensuring public access to affordable and quality animal protein. According to her, the increase in distribution fleet and consistency of below-market prices demonstrate the readiness of regional-owned enterprises in sustainably meeting public needs. In her view, the synergy between local government and regional-owned enterprises like Dharma Jaya is key to creating a strong food ecosystem. “With improved distribution infrastructure support, we are optimistic that this programme will not only help the public but also strengthen overall regional economic stability,” said Eliawati.
