DFSK Introduces E5 Plus SUV in Indonesia
PT Sokonindo Automobile, the brand holder for DFSK, officially introduced the new E5 Plus SUV to the Indonesian market with a ceremony held in Jakarta on Tuesday. COO of PT Sokonindo Automobile, Franz Wang, stated that today’s product launch marks an important momentum for DFSK amidst the celebration of more than 20 years of its global journey. “DFSK strives to strengthen its understanding of consumer needs through in-depth market research. These insights become our foundation in delivering products and services that are increasingly relevant and adaptive,” said Franz. Franz explained that the E5 Plus is a medium-sized SUV designed for six passengers with a captain seat configuration, aiming to meet the needs of modern families who desire comfort, efficiency, and technology in one vehicle. Featuring Plug-in Hybrid technology, the DFSK E5 Plus offers a combined driving range of up to 1,400 km based on NEDC standards, and a pure electric driving capability of up to 140 km. Additionally, the E5 Plus utilises DE-i Smart Power System technology and a high-capacity PHEV battery to deliver efficiency while maintaining performance and driving comfort in various travel conditions. On this occasion, DFSK also opened pre-booking, which runs from 23 June to 28 July 2026. During this limited period, consumers can secure a unit early with a symbolic booking fee of Rp5,000 and enjoy benefits including a 15.6-inch Family Entertainment Screen worth Rp20 million, free periodic servicing for up to 5 years/100,000 km, plus exclusive floor mats worth Rp5 million, a 7 kW Wall Charger worth Rp15 million, and an insurance protection bonus of up to Rp20 million from selected financing partner companies. The official price and complete specifications of the DFSK E5 Plus will be announced at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) this coming July. “Through this pre-booking opening, DFSK hopes to introduce PHEV technology more widely while establishing an early connection with consumers before the official launch at GIIAS 2026,” said Franz.
