DFSK Introduces E5 Plus SUV in Indonesia
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Sokonindo Automobile, the authorised distributor for DFSK, officially introduced the new E5 Plus SUV to the Indonesian public during a ceremony held in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Franz Wang, COO of PT Sokonindo Automobile, stated that today’s product launch marks an important momentum for DFSK amidst the celebration of over 20 years of global operations. “DFSK strives to strengthen its understanding of consumer needs through in-depth market research. These insights serve as our foundation in delivering products and services that are increasingly relevant and adaptive,” said Franz.
Franz explained that the E5 Plus is a mid-sized SUV designed for six passengers with a captain seat configuration, aiming to meet the needs of modern families seeking comfort, efficiency, and technology in a single vehicle.
Utilising Plug-in Hybrid technology, the DFSK E5 Plus offers a combined range of up to 1,400 km based on the NEDC standard, with an electric-only driving capability of up to 140 km. Additionally, the E5 Plus employs the Smart Power System DE-i technology and a high-capacity PHEV battery to deliver efficiency while maintaining performance and driving comfort across various travel conditions.
During this event, DFSK also opened pre-booking, which will run from 23 June to 28 July 2026. During this limited period, consumers can secure a unit early with a symbolic booking fee of just Rp5,000 and enjoy benefits including a 15.6-inch Family Entertainment Screen worth Rp20 million, free periodic servicing for up to 5 years or 100,000 km, exclusive floor mats worth Rp5 million, a 7 kW Wall Charger worth Rp15 million, and insurance protection bonuses of up to Rp20 million from selected financing partners.
The official price and full specifications of the DFSK E5 Plus will be announced at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) this coming July. “Through this pre-booking opening, DFSK hopes to introduce PHEV technology more widely while establishing an early connection with consumers before the official launch at GIIAS 2026,” said Franz.
