DFSK Indonesia to Launch New Vehicle in Indonesia in Second Half of 2026
JAKARTA — DFSK is planning to launch its latest vehicle in the Indonesian market during the second half of this year. However, the Chinese automotive manufacturer has not yet disclosed specific details about the new vehicle, stating only that it falls within the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) category.
“We plan to launch the vehicle in the second half of this year. However, I cannot yet provide specific details about the NEV. The media will be the first to know about it,” said Cing Hok Rifin, Director of Sales Center at PT Sokonindo Automobile, in Jakarta on Monday, 9 March 2026.
CEO of PT Sokonindo Automobile Alexander Barus echoed similar sentiments, stating that he cannot provide further clues about the NEV that will be brought to Indonesia.
“This is still under wraps, as you can see from the image, so let’s keep it closed for now. When the time comes, the media will be the first ones we invite to see it up close,” he said.
Previously, DFSK Indonesia has been actively showcasing its electric vehicles at several Indonesian automotive exhibitions, including the AITO M9. The AITO M9 is a full-size luxury 6-seater SUV developed in collaboration with Huawei.
According to the company’s vehicle specifications, the concept SUV is equipped with advanced technology such as artificial intelligence (AI). The AITO M9 concept SUV measures 5,230 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. The interior features a spacious premium cabin with Nappa leather seats and Zero Gravity Seats in the second row.
The AITO M9 concept SUV features three displays, including a 15.6-inch main driver display and a 16-inch passenger screen, as well as a 12.3-inch instrument panel. The vehicle is claimed to achieve a range of 630 km (based on WLTC measurement) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds.
The Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) version of the vehicle includes an internal combustion engine that functions as a generator and can travel up to 1,239 km (based on WLTP measurement) with the combined powertrain.
