DFSK E5 Plus Secures 1,100 Pre-Bookings Ahead of GIIAS 2026 Launch

Ahead of its official launch at GIIAS 2026, PT Sokonindo Automobile, the company behind the DFSK brand in Indonesia, has recorded positive enthusiasm for the DFSK E5 Plus, booking 1,100 pre-orders since the ordering programme opened on 23 June 2026. The milestone was announced at an Exclusive Press Launch held at Bengkel Space SCBD in Jakarta, which also introduced the NICE Experience concept as the development philosophy behind DFSK’s newest Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) SUV.

After being introduced in various international markets, including the launch of the right-hand drive version in Hong Kong last month, Indonesia has become one of the next strategic markets in the global journey of the DFSK E5 Plus. The model’s presence also marks a new milestone for DFSK as it strengthens its transformation into a brand increasingly focused on intelligent mobility, delivering vehicles that are not only innovative but also offer a smarter, more comfortable driving experience relevant to today’s consumers.

At the Exclusive Press Launch, members of the media were invited to explore the NICE Experience concept, which forms the foundation of the DFSK E5 Plus’s development, through four interactive zones: New Energy Long Range, Intelligent Safety, Comfort Family Space, and Exciting Driving Experience. These four areas represent the PHEV technology, intelligent safety systems, family cabin comfort, and driving character that are the DFSK E5 Plus’s key strengths.

In the New Energy Long Range zone, the media could take a closer look at the Plug-in Hybrid technology that enables the DFSK E5 Plus to travel up to 1,400 km (NEDC) with a 140 km pure electric range (NEDC). The combination of an electric motor and a conventional engine gives consumers the flexibility for daily urban mobility as well as long-distance journeys without concerns about range anxiety.

Meanwhile, the Intelligent Safety zone showcased various active safety technologies and driver assistance systems designed to enhance the sense of security during travel. The Plug-in Hybrid technology that alleviates concerns about driving range, cabin comfort, rear entertainment features, and ventilated seats up to the second row were among the most appreciated aspects.
