DFSK E5 Plus Officially Launched with Prices Starting from IDR 500 Million

DFSK Indonesia has officially launched the environmentally friendly Sport Utility Vehicle, the E5 Plus, which features Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) technology, with prices starting from IDR 500 million. COO of PT Sokonindo Automobile, Franz Wang, stated that Indonesia is a strategic market for DFSK to present reliable New Energy Vehicles (NEV) suitable for various terrains. “After being officially introduced in various international markets, including Hong Kong last month, Indonesia is now the next strategic market to welcome the DFSK E5 Plus,” Franz Wang said during the launch in Jakarta on Wednesday. Utilising PHEV technology, the DFSK E5 Plus offers a combined driving range of up to 1,400 km based on NEDC standards and a pure electric driving capability of up to 140 km. Furthermore, the E5 Plus employs a Smart Power System DE-i and a high-capacity PHEV battery to deliver efficiency while maintaining performance and driving comfort across various conditions. “The combination of an electric motor and a conventional engine provides consumers with flexibility for daily urban mobility as well as long-distance travel without worrying about range anxiety,” he added. This eco-friendly family car has dimensions of 4,760 mm in length, 1,710 mm in width, and 2,785 mm in height, dimensions which are claimed to provide driving comfort. The features and technology presented in the E5 Plus include Level 2 ADAS, which is claimed to provide a sense of safety while driving, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and traffic jam assist. Additionally, it includes automatic emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, door open warning, rear collision warning, blind spot detection, lane change assist, and Collision Mitigation Support (CMS). In Indonesia, the vehicle is available in two variants tailored to the needs of prospective consumers: the DFSK E5 Plus, priced at IDR 500 million, and a complete package, the E5 Plus NICE Package, priced at IDR 550 million.
