DFSK E5 Plus Officially Launched with Prices Starting from IDR 500 Million

Jakarta (ANTARA) - DFSK Indonesia has officially launched an eco-friendly Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), the E5 Plus, featuring Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) technology, with prices starting from Rp500 million.

Franz Wang, Chief Operating Officer of PT Sokonindo Automobile, said that Indonesia is one of DFSK’s strategic markets for delivering reliable New Energy Vehicles (NEV) capable of handling various terrains.

“After being officially introduced in several international markets, including Hong Kong last month, Indonesia is now one of the next strategic markets to receive the DFSK E5 Plus,” said Franz Wang at the E5 Plus launch in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Featuring plug-in hybrid technology, the DFSK E5 Plus offers a combined range of up to 1,400 km based on the NEDC standard, as well as the ability to drive purely on electricity for up to 140 km.

In addition, the E5 Plus uses Smart Power System DE-i technology and a high-capacity PHEV battery to deliver efficiency while maintaining performance and driving comfort across a range of road conditions.

“The combination of an electric motor and a conventional engine gives consumers flexibility for daily urban mobility as well as long-distance journeys without the worry of range anxiety,” he continued.

This eco-friendly family car measures 4,760 mm in length, 1,710 mm in width and 2,785 mm in height. With these dimensions, the vehicle is claimed to provide driving comfort.

The features and technologies offered by the E5 Plus include ADAS Level 2, which is claimed to provide a sense of safety whilst driving, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and traffic jam assist.

It also comes with automatic emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, door open warning, rear collision warning, blind spot detection, lane change assist and Collision Mitigation Support (CMS).

In Indonesia, the vehicle is available in two variants that can be tailored to the needs of prospective buyers: the DFSK E5 Plus, priced at Rp500 million, and the fully equipped E5 Plus NICE Package, priced at Rp550 million.
